Help!?

Vegas was working fine last night. Now this morning it won't work! When I press play, now line either doesn't move or plays for a few seconds and stops.

Haven't installed any new software. Tried turning off trend anti-virus, I've restarted, reinstalled and still have problem.

Anyone else ever come across this one. I'm a bit bamboozled as I have had years of trouble free usage

Any help appreciated as of course I am in the middle of a big edit!!

Try another MS Package: MS Movie Maker; WMP . . anything that will test the keyboard and mouse and any other user interface. I'm just wondering if one of your USB sockets/devices is throwing a wobbly?

It's back again. The problem has returned and this time I know the cause!

It's when I've imported an mpeg 2 file onto the timeline. It seems to screw with the Vegas brain and causes the problem to start again!!

Wierd stuff - has anyone had this problem with mpeg files?
