As soon I do "Render as..." or "Create movie..." , the following error is raised:

"Error creating media file. Exception thrown by method called"

is there a fix for this?

This is a Windows error and caused by any of dozens of problems.

Since you system specs aren't in your profile, I can only guess, but the first thing I would do is look at the hard-disk space.

there is 25 gb left on my 120gb and 1300 on my 2tb drives
