help a n00b? used to premiere, trying for high quality

Hey all,
I just switched to Vegas Video, was originally using Adobe Premiere 6. I have a motherboard with VIA chipset, and after SOO much trouble with consistently dropping frames, I heard this program is less strain on the PCI bus (I like it already). So anyway, I did all my editing in Premiere, and I've exported it to a giant .avi, and I'm using a new project in Vegas to print to the DV tape. I'm still trying to get acquainted with Vegas, and I know very little about configuring it's settings. Here's my question: I printed the entire project to DV tape without dropping a frame -- this is HUGE for me. One thing I noticed is that my camera screen says "DV IN / 16 BIT" which isn't the case when I try and export with premiere. I clicked on the settings icon on the top left of the bottom right monitor, and selected

I don't know what's up with Premiere, but my camera says this all the time and it works. It's just telling you that the camera is accepting DV and that the audio is 16bit (probably 44kHz). I'm glad it worked for you. I think you will find that you can work a lot faster in VV3 especially when comparing with Premiere. I've used both before, but I only use Vegas these days.

oh ok, I must've had downgraded audio from Premiere, thanks for the clarification. I'm glad as hell myself now that my work can come to fruition :)
