HELP!: Asio driver 7.0d

I'm trying to configure Vegas 7.0d on a new PC, but I have a serious problem with Asio drivers:
On first launch I can select the driver and configure the surround outputs, and everything is working fine.
On subsequent launches there's no communnication with Asio driver at all, and I have to use "default all" to get back to Microsoft Soundmapper.
Then, on the third launch, I can select the Asio driver again, but it only works until I quit Vegas.
The same Asio driver works fine in Acid and Logic...

I tried the following:
Rolling back Windows and reinstalling Asio & Vegas from scratch.
Used another Soundcard from a different manufact.
Tried using the asio driver from Acid in Vegas. (sfasio.dll)
Checked the Registry and compared the settings to Acid's...

I called Sony Support in the US, but they didn't seem to know about this problem. Anyone here know what's going on?

The same drivers and Vegas 7.0d is working fine on my old PC, but that is an upgrade installation. Anyone know where I can download 7.0b or 7.0c ?

Regards,

Kim.

Or try to plug the sound card into another PCI-slot.

I have also had problems with the ASIO driver in Vegas 7.0d. Several times now, the shuttle just takes off like a rocket across the timeline when the spacebar is pressed (play/pause).

This is the first time I have had any ASIO issues with Vegas.

I have not determined if the problem is Vegas 7.0d or the driver (I use the Echo Layla 3G). I was leaning toward the driver, but your report may confirm that the program may also be the culprit.

It will be interesting to see if other forum members can validiate any ASIO issues.

I don't think I need to try and move the card to another slot, as it's working fine with Logic, Wavelab, Acid and other hosts?
And as I said in my first post, it works fine on first launch, so it seems like Vegas doesn't write the correct settings to the registry/preference file after I close it...

I've now tried with the following add. host's:
Vegas 7.0b and 7.0c = Not working
Vegas 5.0d = Works fine!
So the Asio driver in 7.0x is certainly broken with regards to Creamware's Asio drivers. (And therefore properly also others...)
