HELP - Can't capture video

I am using Vegas 3.0 LE with Canopus 1394... I can't capture any video...

I can view the video to be captured in Pause, Play and Stop, but I can't capture anything...... The preview screen turns black when I attempt to capture... This is not my first video capturing session... Sometimes it works and now it doesn't....

I have had a number of messages back and forth with Sony support and we've yet to solve this problem.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPERCIATED!

You may have already checked Sony's Knowledge Base on this issue, but if not you should read: How to ensure successful Capture and PTT

Turn off device control. Options/Preferences... and clear the check box for "Enable DV device control"

Hi i have the same problem.. i use a jvc gr dx 3000.
I can control all the functions and it works fine, but when i press record
it captures nothing. I starts playing my tape, but when i press stop it says no frames were captured.

I now always use premiere to capture my video`s and edit with vegas 4.0.
