HELP - combining three .VEG files into one?

tbwfilms wrote on 2/8/2003, 2:49 PM
Sorry - newbie here, but I am doing a three minute video, and I have broken up my editing into a beginning, middle and end - all saved with the .VEG extension. Now that I am done editing the three sections, I want to simply combine all of them to make my finished product. I am having trouble doing this - can someone help?

Thanks in advance.

If you have three separate veg files, open each one and then select all your events in veg2 (ctrl-a) and cut and paste into veg1. Do the same for veg3 to veg1. That should get all three into one veg file for you. If I'm understanding you correctly...

What I normally do is render each of the individual pieces into separate AVI files. Then, I combine the 3 AVI files into a 4th project for the final output. All that has to render at that point is the dissolves between the segments. Works very well.

I would do what jetdv says. I do the same thing and it hit home recently when I tried to copy media from one project to another. Titles in the original project did not transfer as expected. There are probably other things like key-framing, etc., that might not transfer from one project to another well.

The part about text generators not transferring via the clipboard should work better in Vegas 4.
