Help! Corrupted .veg file

Lyn wrote on 11/5/2005, 3:18 PM
I have many many hours in this project. I tried to open it today and was greeted with an error message. Says the file is corrupted or unknown format. I tried renaming it, moving files to different folder, rebooting and even moving files to different drive. I opened the .bak file, but it was saved eight hours before the last work was completed on the project. Please help ASAP.

Also, how do I get the .bak files to save more often?

Thanks,

Lyn

Contact SONY support directly and they may be willing to attempt rescuing the file for you.

.Bak files are created every time you save a project. Save more often. You may also want to consider saving "generational" copies. Every time you complete some major changes, save as "project-a-01.veg", then "project-a-02.veg", "project-a-03.veg", etc. That way if things get messed up you can go back to a recent version and recover from there.

There is also an autosave function, but i don't know if you can set the interval.
