help: Edit details and regions: a bug?

I'm trying to copy regions from Excell to Vegas, using Edit details. This trick works perfectly with markers, (copy/paste to excell > edit > copy/paste back to Vegas), but strangely, when i attempt to copy back in Vegas from Excell in the regions, it doesn't work. Is it a bug or a limitation of Edit details fonction? Any explication/solution?

I haven't heard from sony on this issue, but it is definitely consistent with the way previous versions of Vegas have worked. A work around would be to generate markers instead of regions, and then use an availalbe script which converts markers to regions. For example, the first two markers become the first region. The third and fourth marker become the next region. etc...

I just verified that neither Vegas 4 or Vegas 5 let you paste Regions back into the Edit Details box. I tried copying and pasting to/from Word instead, but that didn't work.

I created a script that lets you change markers to regions, but I don't think it will help you for this. You can try, though, if you like:

The behavior of Vegas is odd, because if you cut the entries from the Edit Details Regions list, and then immediately paste them, they paste back just fine. However, if you paste into Word or Excel and then immediately copy the unaltered version of what you just pasted, and then try to paste back into Vegas, it pastes the information as markers instead of regions.
