Help file topics

I have had an ongoing issue with the help files in VMS - both 9 and now 10. When I open them, almost none of the clickable links are clickable. Does anybody else have issues with this? I can process any other help files from other application (e.g. sound forge)- just not the VMS. I did email sony when I purchased VMS9 but no response...

All the topics are showing in the contents and index - but when I go into a page I clicking on any link makes teh clicking sound, but does not expand/open the topic

Anybody any idea why this is? Is anybode else seeing this behavior?

Thanks

Stewart Bourke

I see you had problems locating your Newblue FX from your other thread, did you install VMS in the default location or did you specify an install point?

Added: I found THIS in the Knowledge Base, but don't know if it applies since it seems old.

Many thanks for your quick response.

My help files issues has been around for a while since I purchased VMS9 originally. I had found the topic you referred to before, but it did not help me. All my installs are in the default location.

I take it your help files work fine?

Thanks.

My help files work fine although I had to turn up my PC volume. I hadn't noticed the cute clicking noise. I run VMS9 Platinum on Win7 32 bit.

I have heard that some newer applications use a newer help file module. What OS are you running?

On my system, clicking on VMS Help would instantly crash Vegas. First I thought it was because I had installed the Trial and then entered the serial. So I re-downloaded the VMS.exe file, uninstalled the trial and installed VMS.exe but the help file still didn't work.
Then I fully rebooted the pc and now everything is fine.
