Help for transition et transparent text

RIKO14 wrote on 11/26/2024, 4:26 AM

Hello,

I'm french and my englih is very poor, sorry...

I have VEGAS PRO 17 and PRO 13, I am a beginner, and have been using Vegas for several years, once a year to do my editing.

I have just made several short videos of my vacation in Martinique from the rushes with VEGAS PRO 17.

I want to combine my videos into one.

Despite my research I cannot find :

1- I would like to create blurry transitions between each sequence, I can't find this transition, can you tell me where it is or explain to me step by step how to do it (because I'm not a light person..)

2- At the beginning of the film and also between each video placed I would like to edit a title with a black background and for the text to be transparent, so that the video behind passes through the text. I can't find this function with VEGAS PRO 17. I thought of a workaround by creating a text with a black background with Powerpoint but I don't know how to make the white text transparent.... (I attach the .jpeg of the title of the final video for example)

Thank you for your help.

Re point 1, there are three preset blur transition choices in Vegas Pro 17's native 'Cross Effect' transition.

I made this transparent text using Vegas text generator and setting composite mode to Multiply Mask.

I made this transparent text using Vegas text generator and setting composite mode to Multiply Mask.

Also possible, but with one disadvantage

Everything below the composite mode track becomes invisible (black) just the part with the transparent text is visible. So for the rest of the videoproject you need to create an extra video track3 above the composite track or when below you have to make video track2 a child of videotrack1.

With creating a transparent text directly in the Titles&Text you can just go on with your videoproject on 2 tracks and also you can save transparent text as a preset for future use.

thank you for this precision !
