Help Importing a Video

I got the Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD a few days ago, and it only shows the top left corner of my video clips that I recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR. How can I fix it so I can actually see the whole clip? I have a Windows XP laptop. What do I need to do in order to fix the settings so I can edit my videos? Please help

You bought VMS to edit TV shows? I would suggest another application, VideoReDo TV Suite, is a better solution. You may need to run your show through VRD's Quick Stream Fix feature to be able to edit the entire show. It fixes timestamps in the file that may be corrupted during the recording process. VRD has a 15-day trial allowing you to try QSF to see if that's your problem. You have to register the trial in order to edit more then 15-minutes of video.

but I'm using it the PVR to record xbox 360 gameplay not TV. WOuld that still work?

Can't speak for xbox video but my HD PVR captures do require VRD's Quick Stream Fix feature before I can import them into Vegas. I use both programs because VRD's editing features are limited to just trimming out unwanted video.
