Are you by chance formatting your blank media? DVD-A expects a fresh from the package blank disk that has had no formatting at all.

I've tried formatted and unformatted discs, I still have the same issue

@WubNub Presumably you are using DVDA? Which version? There's an option somewhere to use Legacy Drivers for burning. Try that to see if it makes any difference.

With DVDA7 it's Options/Preferences and at the bottom of the Burning Tab.
