Help! Just starting out

I'm new to Sony Pro 8 and was editing a video that we shot. Originally, the part of the video that I I was trying to edit appears in the upper right hand corner above the time line that I'm creating. Suddenly it's not there anymore and I can't figure out how to get it back. Can anyone help me out. . .

On the toolbar at the top, Go to view, and click PREVIEW or hold down ALT and 4

Does it say anything about locating media when you start up Vegas? If so, your drive letter may have changed and it doesn't know where your media is. If you know where it is, you can direct it back to the file.

Hi bking,

it sounds like you have closed your preview window ( you can view this again by going to view --> video preview in your drop down menus at the top.

alternatively you can simply restore you windows layouts to default also found in the view menu.
