@KKS

this is a clear warning to you: stop immediately to be unfriendly to very experienced users who have tried to help you.

It is not up to you to tell people that they are „patronising“. Or to assess that they are not helpful and classify them. Or tell them how their advice should look like, especially if you do not like their advice.

Either you follow the community rules here, or I will close this discussion.

And to believe in very outdated tests, done with Vegas Pro 18 - well, up to you.

Are you serious? This is the most inane thing I've read in a while.
It is me and only me who can judge whether someone is being helpful to me or not.
It is me and only me who can tell whether I feel understood or if there needs to be some adjustment in communication.
Some person is making fun of me or suggesting I'm less intelligent than he is, and you're saying it's me who's being unfriendly?
"very experienced users..." - but they're not saints or popes, are they?
Do you have a sort of mutual admiration society going on around here?... Show me a community rule that I broke.

Yes that is very serious. Read (and understand) the community rules.

Mister moderator, I've done the homework for you.

Rule:

"Everyone is welcome in the VEGAS Community regardless of age, gender, disability, nationality, physical appearance, sexual orientation, citizenship, language, political affiliation, race or religion."

User John Dennis has told me twice to mindlessly copy his holy setup and move on, suggesting I'm wasting everyone's time here.

Have you given him a warning?

Rule:
"Avoid provoking other members and keep your comments factual and objective."

To my question "if a CPU has benchmark 3 times as high (19000 points) as my current CPU (6500 points), is it correct to expect that renders will be performed 3x times quicker?" the user 3POINT replied "Is a car with 5 times more horsepower 5 times faster?"

What sort of reply or advice is that? What's so factual about it? Have you given him a warning?

And when you say "read (and understand) the rules", aren't you implying that my intelligence is not high enough to understand what i'm reading? That the understanding part is an additional effort that I need to engage in?

Have you given yourself a warning?

3POINT wrote on 9/25/2024, 5:48 AM

@KKS who needs advice, you or we? I have directed you to the bench render tests of @RogerS. You stated that a 5 times faster CPU should render 5 times faster, that's why I asked if a car with 5 times more horsepower is driving 5 times faster, to let you know that comparing in such a way makes no sense. Why should I be warned? I'm wasting my vacation time to be helpful.

Most of success wished with producing art on your new PC, which I don't care how fast that goes.

Thanks for your goodwill, this is the part of you that I truly appreciate. But I just realized at some point that we're not communicating on the same wavelength with some people here, hence my suggestion to part our ways. I openly let everyone know who is being helpful and who isn't in my particular case. I thanked the helpful ones. People who are not being helpful can move on with their lives and enjoy their vacation. That's only utilitarian. But mister moderator got into some high tones. He needs to take life less seriously;)

You obviously can't tell apart a statement from a question. I never stated that "5 times faster CPU should render 5 times faster". By saying such things you convolute and derail this otherwise simple thread.

I now know that I don't need your advice. Saying things like "is a car with 5 times more horsepower 5 times faster?" is bad advice. It's not even advice at all.

Good luck with your vacation and I really do hope you enjoy it. That's the difference. I do care, you don't:)

Does the i7-1200k help make the rendering 5 times quicker than i7-3770k (because it's 5x times as strong)?

Remember!

There's a question mark at the end. It means it's a question, not a statement:)

@KKS

You are not in the position to assess or judge if other users here - if they are helpful or not. Stick to your topic and stay friendly to other users, who try to support you.

If I read again judgments like „I do not need your advice“ or that something is a „bad advice“ - then you are here out for a week.

Last warning.

You're a bad mod, as you're not doing your job. It's my personal judgment and I have the right to it.
You're only good at finger wagging, but that doesn't impress me much.
Instead of keeping this trainwreck of a thread on track, you start attacking me for communicating to others that they're not being helpful to me. As if communicating such a thing was something morally evil. Grow up and grow some thicker skin.
You implied I broke a community rule, yet you failed to show that rule. I'm still waiting.
Wait... maybe it's not about the community rules? Maybe it's all about what YOU judge to be bad?

"If I read again judgments like „I do not need your advice“ or that something is a „bad advice“ - then you are here out for a week."

Where's the rule which says "don't write things the mod doesn't like reading"?
