HELP NEED NOW!! DVD A

jkerry wrote on 1/31/2009, 2:14 PM
I tried to open DVD A today to make another DVD. But now it is asking that I register.

I have been using the same program for years. The version I have is 5.0 plus the latest upgrades.

Just made a number of DVD's yesterday without a problem. Now it wants to register again. But will not allow it.

Keep getting the message:
Error occured during registration of DVD Arach. Pro 5.0.

Can anyone offer assistance.

I have to make 5 different dvd's this week for a projuct with the church.

Tks,
Jeff

Can you post a screenshot with the error(s) you're getting? Or email it to me at bstro at 50mail dot com. I have a sneaking suspicion that the "register" in the message refers to a Windows system issue rather than "register" you're thinking.

But maybe not.

Call Sony Customer Service on Monday.
They will make it right for you.

Okay, got your screencaps.Guess my "sneaking suspicion" was wrong.

Had you just installed the 5.0 upgrade or update, or were you using the exact same one last time it ran okay? You have to go through the "register" process everytime you install DVDA, even if it's just an update. That would explain why you got the Please Register dialog. If you haven't done any recent upgrades or updates, then I'm not sure why you're getting it.

As for the error registering, could be a temporary problem with Sony's server. Have you tried more than once and with a fair amount of time between attempts? If it continues, yeah, go with the suggestion by musicvid.

Thanks to all who responded.

To answer the last reply, I upgrade was done many months ago and ran without a problem. Like I said, used it on Friday and made a fews DVDs. Then on Sat. with no programs installed it went into this register mood.

Have tired to register again a number of times Sat and today and still the same response.

I follow the adivse and contact Sony on Monday.
