help needed on CDRW recommendations

I just bought the scsi Plextore 12x10x24 external drive and it doesn't work with Vegas or CD arch. Can someone recommend a drive that they KNOW works great for DAO burning for manufacturing plants? I do a lot of mastering and need reliability (like Plextors of the past).

Firewire or SCSI external needed.

thanks.

I myself am looking for a new CD burner to replace my old Iomega 650 Zip Cd. For now it seems that the latest Plextor's are not supported by our beloved Vegas... Suppose I should keep a close eye on this thread for an alternative because I really need to replace that 4x burner of mine.

Hello,

Yes, I send a mail to tech support ask about the Vegas don't see my Iomega Predator FW, and the repply says that no support (At the moment) Firewire.

Is very strange that the Vegas don't work with your Plextor, I have a Plextor 12432 and works fine, your recorder shows in the CD (RW) list, is a file in the Vegas directory, sfcdi.cfg, if you open this file with the notepad, you can see: PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W1210S SCSI MMC Compatible

Bye

P.D. I'm sure that any MMC CDRW is supported

I just upgraded Audio 2.0 to Video 3.0 strictly for CD Architect functionality, only to find out that my new Plextor IDE 24x burner is one they're working on making Vegas work with. JUST GREAT!!
