Help needed regarding exposure plugins

Abubakar wrote on 11/16/2024, 11:39 PM

Is there any way to disable these when using curves.? Both in video Fx plugins and color grading panel.? I would like to use curves normally without these points just like we see in Premiere pro and Davinci resolve.

And is this plugin still supported.? Are there any plugin inside Vegas which has these same tools for exposure.? not inside the color grading panel but in video fx plugins like this.

Intel Core i7 12770K
Nvidia RTX 3060 / Intel Arc A380
Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200MHz 32 GB

Yes, that plugin still does work in Vegas. It's what i sometimes use.

The Color Grading Panel is what i highly suggest you use instead. It has both an excellent color curves and Exposure feature.

Both have tangents. I use Graide Color Curves which doesn't have them.

@RogerS Thank you, i just looked it up its €49.95 really expensive for a plugin, isn't there another way to disable the tangents in Vegas Pro own Fx plugins Curves.? And a plugin similar to fbmn softwares exposure gpu.? its priced US$ 39, i would be spending more then 90$ for 2 plugins that should already be free in Vegas Pro :(

The VEGAS color grading panel can do exposure, just not the highlights/shadows. If Colorfast 2 came with your VEGAS it does that.

No, there's no way to disable the tangents.

Graide Color Curves is a lot more than just a good curves interface, it's good for isolating and manipulating colors.

@Abubakar take also a look at SEMW autolevels, which is from the same designer as Graide Color and it's free.

@Abubakar Sorry for the late response.... Those are called Tangents, but unfortunately they cannot be disabled as you are requesting.

Wolfgang S. wrote on 12/23/2024, 10:25 AM

They can be pseudo-disabled - make the tangents as short as you wish them to be. 😂

Or include in the curves additional points. Makes the tangents shorter too.

But frankly spoken, to play with the rise and length of the tangents is also a good aproach.

But be careful with the intensity of the changes - the templates in the color curve tool result in intensive changes, so limit the change you implement. And check the grading on a good control monitor, but be not surprised if the look may be different between an - even expensive and calibrated - led monitor on your editing machine and an oled for the final presentation. It will take some time to win enough experience with that.
