Help Needed With Menu

I've just started with Architect and have rendered/burned 2 projects successfully; however, on my set top player, the menu disappears after a brief flash on the screen and it jumps to the end showing 1movie, but no length/time is shown. I can press PLAY and the DVD will play just fine, as well as jumping the chapters when I advance them, just not via the menu thumbnail button. Also, on one of the DVDs, only about half of the menu page shows on my monitor before going away. What am I doing wrong? Why won't the HR/MIN/SEC show up? Thanks for your help.

What set top player are you using? What type of media are you using? Have you tried playing in a software DVD player? Have you tried playing in another set top DVD player?

It's a Philips player. Using Philips DVD+R media. Yes, I get the menu on the computer's DVD player. No, I haven't tried in another set top player. I'm using DVDA version 1. Another authoring program (ok, yes...it's a lesser product) allows my set top player to view and operate from the menu, and displays the running time of the disc.

Are you using the latest update of DVDA1 (i.e. 1.0d build 230)?

I wasn't using it, but downloaded the update yesterday. Now, the burned DVD won't play at all on the set top player (where it would at least play before, just not with the menu). The disc will play fine on the computer's player (with pre-update and post-update).

After you downloaded and installed 1.0d, did you reprepare before you burned it? If not, please try that.

It could also be a media compatibility problem. Some media types (or even brands) don't play properly in some players. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers contains anecodotal evidence on media and player compatibility.
