HELP~~! NEW EDITOR! Need help on colored plugins! :( VEGAS PRO 13

I am new at Vegas Pro 13 editor and I was trying to use the black and white colored plugin but when I put it into the slide there was a weird colored box in the middle of it and I don't know how to get rid of it! Please HELP! 😢

Check to make sure you don't have the "Split Screen" button above the preview screen turned on.
