I'm using Vegas 4 with Excalibur. I have two tapes from a two camera shoot.
Here's what has to be done: 1) the tapes have to be edited into a single master; 2) several stills have to be added; 3) footage from a B roll has to be inserted in several places; 4) PnP has to be added in several places.
The question: What's the optimum sequence in which to mack these additions and inserts? At what point should Excalibur's Multicam Wizard be run? Is it a good idea to render the PnP segments to a new track and deal with them as video inserts?
I find it difficult to work with the inserts, PnP, etc., after I've run Multicam Wizard, and I suspect there may be a better work flow than what I'm doing now. I've come to realize that sequence is everything when working with Vegas, and I really need some advice on this one.
