Help - pixelation issues

Nearing the end of my project - I find that some pictures, usually digital pics, have a pixelation issue going on - I am not sure I am correct in the terminology. Parts of the picture will "dance" usually a shirt with any kind of pattern (even a very small pattern), sometimes the rims of people's glasses, people's hair and sometimes trees. Is there any way to fix this? It has occurred in Adobe as well as Vegas. I will be burning my DVD either in Windows DVD Maker or Click It to Dvd. (I have Vista so I can't burn in Architect Studio.)

Usually this is referred to as Moire rather than pixelation.

Probably the best way to avoid it is to not use pictures with details like that. That's why you'll never see newscasters wearing striped or checkered shirts.

However, if you have to use the picture, a small amount of gaussian blur can do wonders.
