Help Please - AVCHD and DV on timeline

Hi, trying again, with subject description. I'm a little confused, so hope you can help:

I have two cameras, HMC150 and DVX100.

Just shot two-camera event, DVX in 16x9 mode to match HMC. HMC was in 1080i.

I will be delivering an SD DVD.

Should I be working on an SD timeline? Or 1080p?

Should DVD project settings be 16x9 or 4x3?

Match between the two cameras was excellent, by the way. To my eye, no need for color correction.

Thanks so much for your help!

I would think that you would edit on an 1080 16x9 timeline. That will give any effects or titles extra resolution.

But when it comes to rendering, the timeline setting won't matter as much. In fact, you have lots of leeway with the HMC for cropping and re-framing and even doing pans and zooms because of the extra res.

When you render, use the widescreen template. Unless you plan on manually cropping all the clips to 4x3.
