Help please: Looping background clip to audio

Hi Guys

Pretty new at this, I made an .avi clip in After Effects about 5 sec long and want to use it as my menu background. I set background media to the avi and set that to loop, and I added a few buttons as well. Now when I insert an audio clip for the menu background, the music plays and after the avi clip plays the background goes black and all I can see is the buttons I created and the music plays on, in the timeline I can just see the balackground and the buttons ?

Thanks for your time

The video and background need to be the same length. If the audio is longer than the background, you're going to get a blank screen when the video runs out. If the video is longer than the audio, you're going to get silence when the audio runs out. (Unless you drag the Out point in so it is at the end of the video, but I suspect you don't want to truncate your audio.)

Open up Vegas. Put the video one a track and the audio on another track. Grab the right edge of the video's event and drag it to it lines up with the end of the audio. This will loop what you created as many times as is needed to be the same length of your audio. Render this out to a new AVI and use that as your menu background.
