Are you using DVDA 1 or DVDA 2?

DVDA 2:

1. Create a menu-based project. Be sure that both your Explorer window and your Project Overview window are open and visibile.

2. Find your first clip in the Explorer window. Drag it over to the Project Overview window and drop it onto the entry for your menu (by default, it's called Menu 1. (Alternatively, you can just drag the clip to the menu itself.

3. Find the other clips in the Explorer window. Drag them over to the Project Overview window, but drop them on the very top item in the list. If you drop them on the menu, you'll get a button for each clip, and you probably don't want that.

4. Now the windows you want visible are Project Overview (PO) and Properties. In PO, double-click on your first clip. Go to the Properties window and find the Destination property and change it. By default, it probably says "Most recent menu." Click those words (or whatever is to the right of Destination) and find the second clip you want played.

5. Follow step 4 for each of the remaining clips. For the last clip, choose your menu as the Destination.

If you're using DVDA 1, then your best option is to combine the clips into one file.

Actually....if you are using DVDA1....then that is your only option.

Not strictly true. johnmeyer developed a workaround using IFOEdit. It's geeky, as he'll tell you himself, and probably intimidating to some folks. But it is an option. ;-)

Yup....there is the workaround using IFOEdit. Forgot about that one. Thanks for the reminder.

Can you do an end action like in encore where the clip points to the next?
kameronj wrote on 5/23/2004, 7:21 AM
Well I don't use Encore...but with the end actions in DVDA2, you can pretty much point to anything you like.

dvda1 did not perform end actions like encore does. I was an encore user until dvda2 came out(I edit with vegas and used encore to go to dvd) But with dvda2 you can perform end actions like encore. I am still new with dvda2 and am just learning it still but sony is on the right track with their new software. Now if they could just make dvda3 work with photoshop like encore does.
