Without knowing how you did it, or at least a screen grab of what you are seeing with all controls visible, we don't have a clue.

I was trying to learn and apply the event pan/crop function on an image at one point if this helps. Thanks

I think that is the title safe markers. Not actually borders, just an indication of where a normal TV might cut off images. It is actually almost obsolete now because most TVs don't cut off as much as 4x3 TVs did.

Thanks Dot, how does a person remove these markers?

I am sorry, I am not familiar with the Movie Studio interface so I don't know which switch it is. You might see if you Rightclick, if the option for title safe comes up.

It's this button to switch it off

I note on your timeline you have a text/title item which says "Sony Titles_Text". Mine always say "Vegas Titles_Text" as below. Strange. Which build of VMS 16 Platinum are you using?

Thanks a ton Eric. I started the project in vegas 11 and ran which I used sparingly for several years for simplistic projects. I ran into an issue that I couldn't burn a dvd with the current project so I upgraded from 11 to 16. Maybe that is why my annotation windows are labelled differently, not sure. thanks again!
