help - text preset

I know how to save a text setting as a preset, But is there a way to save a setting so that is the default one that comes up when you first drag the text box onto the timeline? I can save a setting, even without text in it,(blank) with the color size and showdowing I need, but every time I drag a new text box onto the timeline, it starts with the one that says: "Preset: (Untitled)" and it is "Sample Text" at 72-point size. Is there a way to make one of my presets the default setting? Thanks...

If you save your settings as a preset, they show up in the Text/Backgrounds "Preset" list, just like the system presets. Just drag the preset icon to the timeline to start out with your own settings instead of one of the system ones. The only thing you can't set is which one you get from the "Insert > Text Event" menu item, or from dragging from the left column.
