HELP!!! URGENT!

Alright, I know I sound stupid and even a bit funny, but I really need help. I have a video due for class tommorow, and I just finished it, but I can't preview it now because I somehow lost the video preview window. When I go up into "view", it has the preview window as checked off. However, it is not displayed, and I have searched for about 15 minutes now, and I can't find it docked/un-docked anywhere. Re-starting the program doesn't help either. Any suggestions? Please help!

Press ALT+6
It also might be hidden under a docked window.

When you are starting up Vegas hold the shift key down this should load setup to defaults

Try unchecking it , then recheck it.

If still no go, close all the other windows until you see it.

Thanks, but I still can't see it, and I tried everything that you guys said. Is there something in options/preferances that I can check so that vegas laods with the default interface setup?

to reset settings to default I think it is hold down <ctrl> AND <shift> while Vegas is starting (sorry... not 100% certain here).

Press ALT6 to select the preview window (I'm assuming here that is moved off screen somewhere).

Press alt-spacebar, press arrow down once, press enter, you now have movement control of the window even if you can't see it. Now press and hold the left arrow for a while and hope it comes into screen, otherwise try some of the other arrows till appears.

If that doesn't work then it's back to default startup.

If you hold down SHIFT while clicking and opening the change pref menu, a new tab "internal" will appear. the first option is to reset to fact defaults. :)

Glad resetting the entire system worked, just keep in mind that if you do this, all Vegas personal prefs are deleted/erased and have to be reset. So, be sure you turn on Quantize to Frames, ignore 3rd party codecs, etc.
