Help with A to D Capture card?

I have an Adaptec AVC-2000 PCI card that Vegas will not recognize... anyone have this type problem and/or know of a solution.

Tried to uncheck the control DV under preferences, but unable to get anything to work?

Trying to convert all my legacy video from VHS/C-VHS/HIgh8 to DVD, so for the moment, I still need teh A/D conversion.

Isn't the Adaptec AVC-2000 a MPEG-2 capture card? To capture DV in Vegas go through IEEE 1394. You can use a DV camcorder with pass-through to convert analog to DV or get a converter box such as the Canopus ADVC-100. HTH
