Hello,
Just installed a "BlackMagic-design Intensity Pro" card for my Windows 7 64-bit system. The box arrived today with no CD inside--only an empty CD sleeve and no paperwork or instructions. However, I did install the card making sure I wore an anti-static wristband--so no issues there. It appeared to install correctly. Windows reported a successful installation. The message was:
Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 3 installed successfully.
VP 12 does not see the card.
In Preview device when I select Blackmagic Design Decklink the message is:
Device unavailable
This device supports audio playback
In Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers
High Definition Audio Device
Realtek High Definition Audio
Don't know if it's relevant in "Control Panel" under Sound:
Digital Audio (HDMI)
2-High Definition Audio Device
Not plugged in
Panasoniv TV
High Definition Audio Device
Realtek High Definition Audio
I'm thinking there should have been an installation CD or an instruction manual. It's hard to believe it's plug and play with "zero" instructions. I haven't tried to contact anyone just yet since it is after business hours. I will try tomorrow but not expecting a great deal of help.
Without a manual or CD etc., I am at a loss as how to troubleshoot. Are there drivers I need to install, etc? I know some of you are using this card very successfully and I am hoping perhaps someone can offer troubleshooting tips.
Thanks,
