help with capture

i am using a sony dcr pc110 as a "pass-through" for my analog capture (from vhs) but vv4 error that says "the device microsoft dv camera and vcr could not be opened".

anybody who has any ideas? i have an external hd for my captures i use usb2.0 port.... thanks

Under preferences, make sure your device is OHCI Compliant 1394 not Video for Windows Standard.

i have made sure of that already but i still have the same problem.

i have studio 8 also installed but i dont have it running at the same time with vv4. could this be a problem?
