Help with HD format issues

Im doing an edit for an upcomming Fabulous Thunderbirds Concert release on HDNET and they are sending me all of the Digitized ISO footage. They told me that they were using Final Cut Pro to do the post which we were un happy with, so we chose to re-edit using Vegas 7.0D. The footage the tech guy at HDNET told me was in DVCPRO HD and when I told him I was editing in VEGAS he said I shouldn't have a problem. I am shipping out a Tera Drive for him to transfer all of the files to. My question is, Will these files work in VEGAS or will I need to Convert them. I think these are downconverted HD files, he said that the HDCAM uncompressed files are more then a Terabyte. Could I use the uncompressed?? many questions, any help would be apreciated. I am running all of this on an XP machine Core 2 Duo 2.44 with 4 g. RAM.

The DVCProHD files can only be opened in Vegas if you have a codec. You have options from Adobe, CineForm, or DVFilm.
I prefer the Raymaker option from DVFilm, but the others work fine too. The Raymaker option doesn't require conversion as the others do, but it's also slower.
I'd use the uncompressed if you can get access to them. Not only i the picture slightly better, but you won't have to mess with any plugins. Your system is a little slow, but not significantly so, and you can always generate proxies should you need to.

So Final Cut Pro can do this stand alone and Vegas cannot? Are the HDCAM uncompressed files gonna need a plugin as well or should theuy plug straight in.

I though apple's "4:2:2 uncompressed" 8 and 10-bit codecs weren't available on PC. (And they actually are compressed, they're just uncompressed in the sense that they don't have DCT compression applied to them.) But I could be wrong.
