help with MPEG .ts file

rraud wrote on 7/9/2014, 4:29 PM
I had some segments on VHS tape captured via a friends Happauge capture device.
The resulting files look fine in VLC, Windows Media player, Media player classic ect. However in VP (9) the picture is extremely blurred and jittery. It renders the same. The audio plays and renders normally. I have reset the 'Properties' settings and experimented with difference settings.. No change. I tried converting to other formats using TSMuxer, Nothing helps.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Run the footage through "Quick stream Fix" in the Videoredo+ trial.
All PVR footage needs this, not just Hauppauge. Should look fine on the timeline after that.

Thanks MV. I'll try that.
I'm currently rendering an AVI (DNxHD) in Streamclip. I rendered a low-res MPG to test and that was better.

Streamclip worked but the VideoRedo process was a whole lot faster and easier.
You da man MV, I owe you a beer or beverage of your choice.
Thanks again, Rick

Yeah, Quickstream Fix in VRD has always seemed to work, except when the stream is so badly damaged it drops out.
Beverages welcomed.

Some here also swear by Womble, which has been around a long time.
TSDoctor is another paid solution that I haven't given a fair test.
There are reports of AVIDemux having problems these days.
