HELP! with Text Media

Please! Can someone save my sanity! I am new to this program, and I was going along fine, every time I would go to "Insert', "Text Media", It would pop up a box that said "Sample Text", I could delete that and type what I wanted to in. Now when I go to "Insert Text Media", it automaticly adds my "Sample Text" frame in, and I can't get to where I can alter it. So. . . 'Sample Text" is the only text that I can add now! I have been fighting with it for hours, and am SOOOO frustrated. Please tell me what I am doing wrong!

Thanks,
L. Roberts

I don't know why it acts differently now than before, but you can easily edit the text after the Text Media is placed on the timeline.

At the end of the Text event on the timeline are three icons. The top one looks like a little rectangular movie frame. Click it, and your text media window will open. Note that right under the "SONY" legend there are tabs for Edit, Placement, Properties, and Effects. Click the Edit tab to edit your text. Click the Placement tab to move it around on the screen. You may need to move the text window out of the way or stretch it smaller so you can see you preview window.

Don't get frustrated. This is a great program, and it won't take long for you to see how easy it is to do things in Vegas Movie Studio.
