OK, we know Vegas is mostly optimised with HT in mnd... be it thorugh rendering and certain filters.

One thing that i have noticed though is that some filters dont use HT.. and i was wondering what impact, if any do these multicore CPU's actually have on this?
Consider a dual core 1.73ghz vs a single core P4 3.2 on a laptop. Now theoretically theyre pretty much identical in CPU grunt, with the dual core slightly faster for some generated media and foramt conversions.

Now what im wondeirng is that will the filters plugins that dont support HT be stuck at 1.73?

curious to know ppls findings...

depends on how the CPU is setup. We know that the AMD XP/64 line was rated lower mhz then the comparable intel CPU's but ran ~as fast. So my AMD X2 4200, if it can only use 1 core will run as fast as an AMD 64 4200. Since there's no core 2's that were single core there's no real comparison there.
