Hey Karl - In a devilish attempt at fueling the fire....

In regards to your earlier lashing-out at the guy in this
forum who suggested your 'RTFM' advice might not be the
answer to the posters' request:

You mentioned that SF ought to be on the newsgroups.
Judging from the quantity and tenacity of your postings
here, it's obvious you are one of those 'self-proclaimed'
moderators that make these type of forums unpleasant.

I want to help you further your newsgroup moderation skills
by suggesting that you *start* a newsgroup for
SonicFoundry! (Or would that also be reported on your W2...)

There you can STILL reply to 4 out of 5 postings, and it
would also allow some of us that want to give ACTUAL
SUPPORT EMPLOYEES a chance to offer suggestions.

I personally like these forums, because they (usually) keep
moderator-wannabe's out, and allow those that aren't
so "newsgroup-savvy" to have a nice place to get help. From
actual employees, not guys that sit and wait for new
postings to appear.

So whaddya think? Good idea? No?

THAN LAY OFF PEOPLE WHO SECOND-GUESS YOUR WORLDY KNOWLEDGE.

Thanks.

You're right ... I had the day off and spent entirely too much time
posting in this forum.

I apologize.

KAC ...

For the record,

If Karl went a little post crazy one day or not is not my beef.
If he was out of line, he's also apologized - which IMO was not
necessary.

His posting, no matter how often or in what manner, does NOT preclude
SF staff from answering too. SF seems to reply to some things right
away and let other things hang forever without a reply. Without
people like Karl around a lot of questions wouldn't get answered at
all.

I prefer that he stay and not build another forum.

Totally uncalled for troll. But I am going to comment anyway. Til you
guys come up with an Indie, a couple of International Film Festival
awards for sound, a hundred or so album credits under your belt and
have worked with some of the top people in the business like the guy
you're dis'ing,(yeah, I could give you a list but I don't want to
embarass him), you should just keep your yaps shut and pay attention.

I'd be embarassed too. Check out:

http://home.flash.net/~tiermacw/cantor.htm
http://www.io.com/clandestine/ale.html
http://www.savageresearch.com/jester/ramblingsailor.html

Indeed, "top people" in the business! And here I thought we were
dealing with some petty and unknown engineer/producer, like Quincy
Jones, Eddie Kramer, or Frank Filipetti.

BTW, Karl, how did you get your favorite horse to type?

Gallant Will, huh? Strikingly similiar to "Will Gallant"....

Perhaps you should ride off in the sunset before the posse comes to
town!

Ouch! Got me where it hurts. If I was named after a horse, I'd hide
behind a name.

Hello.

I don't want any of you to get the wrong impression from this
message...this forum certainly is for discussion and sharing
opionons, but we can't let threads like these get out of hand.

This forum is primarily here for Vegas discussion, so let's spend
more time helping each other out and less time with personal
arguments.

Thanks.
