Hey Spot! what's the Data Tank?

My birthday is coming up right before the Sony media showcase and VASST seminar in Orlando. Just wondering when I blow out my candles, what to wish for to win . ;0)
The Opteron or the Data Tank?
Is the Opteron a whole computer or just the processor, and the Data Tank? external drive?
Anywho, knowing my luck ,I'll probably win the Sony tie clip.
or better yet a coupon for 10% of the tie clip.
One can dream though.

The AMD Opteron we will be giving away is the processesor only (worth about $700). The other prize that you refer to is an ADS enclosure that you would convert an internal drive to external (about $100).I'll have to look into what version of tieclips will be on hand :-)

I'm the proud owner of the ADS box from the SF Bay Area classes. That was "way cool". A while back I posted here about my external box (cheapy no-name) working with most of my PCs but not my main desktop. Recently I bought one of the ADS boxes and it fixed my problems. I was going to go buy a second ADS for my other external drive but the class drawing prize luckily solved my problem.

Thanks, again, guys for the prize but also (more) for the great days of training. Good to meet you all and share the knowledge. Plus meeting other users in the area. A good three days.

You rock! It was great meeting you as well!
San Mateo was a super fun group. I always like being there. Count on seeing us there again in the fall with 2 new VASST courses.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I won an ACID loops CD on the second day. (It wasn't the big prize.)

I've always been a lucky SomB. My theory is, "Don't gamble", it dilutes your luck when you need it. I'd probably be dead by now if I didn't employ that philosophy.

If, for SOME reason the goodies don't get given away on the Sony night before Dallas, I'll be happy to give them a loving, deserving home....I'll be at the training but can't make the night-before affair, unfortunately.

MMmmmmm.....Opteron.......
