Hi all,
Following Marty's (and SF's) suggestion I resized a jpeg in PhotoSuite to 655 X 480. When I import it into V4 it looks fine but is too big for my external monitor even though it shows within the safe zone in V4. Everything else appears correctly on my external monitor...any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
TIA,
Randy

Have you tried resizing it in the Pan/Crop portion? Usually when you select "Select Source Aspect", it takes up the whole screen, and then some. Just make it the size you want in Pan/Crop

Randy:

I think what you're seeing is normal behavior. A 655x480 image will fit the project corectly (and hence the preview window). As has been discussed, most TV's (external monitor) do not show the entire image, for a variety of technical reasons which I can't recall.

If I have a 655x480 image on the timeline, and show the safe area overlay in the preview window, there is always some (as defined in Options->Preferences->Video tab) area of the image lost when displayed on the external monitor and over TV's. As DGates suggested, if you want to see the entire image on your external monitor and/or tv, zoom out a bit using pan/crop (but then you'll see a cropped image with black bars in the preview window, and possibly on some tv's which have different safe areas).

I don't believe you're doing anything wrong
