High Def vs MiniDV

I am shooting and editing a music video. Naturally I want it to be as high of quality as it can be. I notice that VV4b has HighDef capabilities. Is it possible to capture, edit, and output with HighDef settings? Would this improve the quality of my video?

Sony TRV-900
VV4b
P4 2.4Ghz
896Mhz DDR

Or do I need to just stick w/ the typical settings?

Thanks,
Lamont

"...capture, edit, and output with HighDef settings"

well you can , but not with the equipment you have there ..

to have high def - you need to shoot high def video (more or less) or film (transfered to digital) ..

you can convert DV to HD , but to what end ? if your planed final format is DVD or TAPE - you might as well stick with DV through out the project except for converting to final delivery format ..
