High Resolution Still Pictures

When I take a still image of a video clip on my timeline, how do I make it bigger or get it to a higher resolution? I had to send still images to someone but they are of no use to them because they are too small.

The still image can only be as high of a resolution as your video. So if you are shooting standard definition it will be 720 x 480 NTSC max.. If you are shooting high definition then it would be either 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720.

What is the original resoution of your video, and what resolution are you getting on your stills?

To get full resolution stills, match your Project to media settings (this is a specific procedure), and set your Preview at Best/Full.

The video is 720 x 480. The still images I capture from the video clips are 164 x 151.

musicvid - the Project to media settings ... where do I find that again? I've seen it somewhere but can't seem to find it right now. I set the preview at Best/Full. The size this time did come up as 648 x 480.
