Hitfilm Pro 3

I've been using Hitfilm Ultimate 2 either as a stand-alone application, or via the integration within Vegas 13.
Since FXHome has just upgraded to Hitfilm Pro 3, the integration tool no longer functions. The folks at FXHome say that they are waiting for Sony Vegas to release a fix soon. Will this really be soon please?

Since upgrading to Vegas Suite, I have enjoying working with Hitfilm 2 Ultimate (it is included with V13 Suite). The interface is good and I've dropped effects in nicely (for example adding smoke and muzzle/cannon fire into my video of an 19th century military pageant at the Halifax Citadel). The integration with Vegas still works ok with Hitfilm 2 and it would be disappointing if that product functionality disappeared entirely. I presume that you mean the feature is lost with Hitfilm 3. Besides this issue, how do you like Hitfilm 3 and is it worth the upgrade? In terms of 3D animation, the new version of Reallusion's iclone (iclone 6) is imminent so I'm considering that too ($119) as I sometimes use Iclone to create animated commentators within some of my videos among other things. Hoping for a Black Friday super special!

I haven't really had a chance to use the new version well yet. I like the look of the interface and it certainly seems to run smoother with 3D models when applying numerous lights. I'm really looking forward to the track matte/mask feature!
It's still excellent as a stand-alone programme, but I did like the integration withing Vegas.
By the way, there are many more video effects which now automatically open within Vegas as well...

The update we posted today should help with the interop between Vegas Pro 13 and HitFilm 3 Pro, but let us know if you're still seeing problems.

We also just announced a special holiday Vegas Pro Suite bundle that includes HitFilm 3 Pro, BCC Art Looks, NewBlue FX Sample Pack, and a 6 month Red Giant Universe Subscription. There are upgrade paths for Vegas Pro owners too.

Those people who have Hit Film 2 and got Hit Film 3. Did you install over the top or uninstall 2 and then install version 3. Thanks.

Are you sure this is a bug? I asked another user in this forum that posted about the same issue but I cant reproduce it, neither could another user. Maybe I am doing it wrong, can you explain exactly what the problem is?

It doesn't look like that great an offer for a Vegas Pro 13 suite user like myself. Basically I get an upgrade to the new version of Hit Film 3 for $199. Almost everything else I already have. The upgrade to hitfilm 3 is also $199 so it's kind of a wash.

I'll be honest with you, this really bites, that a new bundle Vegas Pro Suite was just posted...all this after I just upgraded from Vegas Pro to Vegas Pro Suite which only came with HitFilm 2! I spent quite a bit to make that jump to Pro Suite...so I sure would like to have HitFilm 3 instead of 2, especially since I just recently did the purchase.

No way! Hitfilm sent me an email offering the upgrade for $170 (US) and that isn't worth it either. Unless there is a Cyber Monday deal for under $100, I plan to wait until a full upgrade of the Vegas suite. Maybe by then, there will be a Hit Film 4 too.

I bought the VP 12 suite and didn't find the "upgrade" worthwhile. Unless you don't have at least 3 of the bundle apps then the whole suite path is a waste of money because once you get it then any upgrade offer is only going to include one, maybe two, items that can be upgraded during any upgrade cycle - all the rest remain the same. Another PITA is that, unlike Adobe, the Vegas suites keep on changing so it's impossible to keep up unless you regularly hand over cash for another so-called "upgrade". IOW once you by one suite it's a dead end.

I am running Vegas Pro 13 build 428 and HitFilm3 Pro version: 3.0.3813.6.I add any HD video to the timeline in Vegas Pro 13. Right click on the video and select add Hitfilm effect. Hitfilm3 Pro is launched. HitFilm3 Pro comes up. I select the event in HitFilm3 Pro then click on make Composite Shot and select OK. Make any change, for example, rotate the image and save the Hitfilm3 Pro file by clicking on the save icon. When I go back to Vegas Pro 13 all is updated. I save the vegas project. When I close Vegas or HitFilm3 Pro in any order I get the uploaded error message. "Hitfilm Server has stopped working".

Anyone else had this problem?

Remember Blackmagic Fusion is Free and does everything Hitfilm can do. Won't run from within Vegas but that's no big deal.

i discovered what might be the problem but cant fix it yet. Going to uninstall hit film i found when you right click in the uninstalled section in windows 10 it will open up where you can repair or change the program. well it clearly shows that it gives you a tree like form and Vegas is deselected
not to integrate. When i select it to run with Vegas it wont let me. I believe the problem is with Hit film pro 3 or windows 10. Vegas would see it if hit film would let windows 10 install it properly. Some programs it will give you an icon the old way and some programs like Hit film it will install only to the metro section of windows. I think here likes some of the problem.
