mmm... didn't anybody do exactly that with one of Satish's plugins in the past?
Maybe have a look at www.debugmode.com and check this free 3D plugin...

Don't recall, but the new Wax plugin (in beta) from Satish does have 3D objects that can rotate. Cube is one of the objects that may be used.

As far as I know PluginPac from Satish did not have rotating cubes but you could construct a cube with video on multiple distorted layers and keyframe the PluginPac effect to spin/rotate.

FWIW, lots of work, I think.

I'm pretty sure, then, that on Chinework's site there's a video with this effect. The problem is that there is so MANY of these films on the site right now that it may take a whole day to find it!

update: I hadn't been on this site for a while and after checking, seems that a bunch of files have been deleted (probalby cause it would need a HUGE server to keep all these files since the beginning) including, probalby, the one I was speaking about (it was a year ago, or more...).

My advice then, would be to write directly to Satish on his site and ask him how you can do that. He'll probalby be answering in a short delay. And he'll probably find a quick/easy/good quality solution for you.

And I agree with pauncz concerning the link he gave you; a few people have been using this guy's plugins for a while now and I don't remember reading any major complaints about it.
