Discussions like this one are always very interesting.
A few years ago, most of us wouldn't even have to possibility/accessibility to juggle with any NLE program.
Then, what we would see on TV is LESS than what we do have today in our homes.
Bottom Line: every one of us is getting more and more picky about what we want and it's normal: we probably all slaver for more as we get through the process. And companies will always follow us cause they're here for business, no?

This said, I agree with all of you who say creativity is not contained into a bunch of effects. Since the classics, a simple "cuts combination" is still the most effective way to bring people into a story.
I agree too, even if I still haven't done this very much, that for a slide show, a few effects certainly won't hurt.

But what retained my attention the most is the titling debate. And I second those who want more in that point. A good 2D-3D customizable titling device would be great into VV3. More than effects (from *my* point of view - remember; I don't make slide shows very much). PeterMac, this TitleDeko example you gave really got my attention and just with what you said, yes, it's sad we don't have it in VV3... Kkolbo, I'll definetly check out this RealDraw app... THAT would be IT I guess !

And I'd really like a ***rotoscopy*** application, useable via Photoshop. With THIS, I could get each and every effect I want, despite the time I would spend on the project...picture and title topics included.
