Holy CR@P! NR 2.0 for FREE?!?!?!?!!?!

I checked "my account" after reading the V8 trail was in "my software". It had NR2. I have NEVER purchased the program, only used a demo. Ok... so I download from the "update" link. Install. Open Vegas. Use it. Asks for SN. Copy/paste the one from "my software".

it WORKS! No boops/beeps every X seconds. Nothing that says "demo" or "trial."

FRIKKEN AWESOME! :D

anyone else have this?

Yeah. I also got it for "free" some months AFTER I paid full price.

Strange though... my dad says that now according to "my software" he owns vegas 6. :? Sounds like a messup somewhere with registration as I gave him vegas 4 a while ago, not vegas 6.

I think it became free with a Sound Forge upgrade; maybe SF 9.

looking in to it there's a glitch with sony somewhere. My dad has the same SN I do for Vegas 6. I'm ASSUMING that instead of basing it on the name of the purchaser they're using the e-mail address as I once registered NR2 under my e-mail but the name of the person I worked for. And my dad has Vegas 6 because I owned/registered Vegas 4 under an old e-mail, gave it to him & had SoFo/Sony give him a new SN but he had two SN's listed (mine & his new).

time for a trouble ticket!
