host for my video files?

I saw on the VV COW that someone recommended www.addr.com. Does anyone have other recommendations for a low cost host that I can use to upload .wmv9 and maybe QT files? I will have low volume for simultaneous viewing, would like to be able to view off their servers as apposed to download-n-play (is that called static (psuedo) streaming?, ie I don't need true, live streaming). I am totally new to this, I don't evenhave a web page yet. If that is still too expensive, I would except a cheap place to park files that people can download :^(

thanks

i'm still not sure where to host video files. my host throttles (blocks new downloads) fairly quickly. i think their thru-put is 15 gigs per month.

Try Playstream.com. Personally I just use wmv files and am hosted on iPower.com where they charge me $7 a month for 200mg storage and 20gig bandwidth. I embed Windows media player in my pages and with a cable modem my movies play instantly in any new browsers. I also give a download option for those with slower connections. I don't use Quicktime so I don't know if that requires a streaming server or not.

I have many sites hosted with addr.com and they are great.

i checked out playstream. i don't understand why they're so expensive. what does "on demand" mean? is that any different than a normal host?

I don't know a whole lot about this because, as I said, my videos are all wmv and play instantly without a streaming server, but maybe Quicktime and Real stream better with a streaming server. I do know that every time I click on a Quicktime file somewhere I have to wait and wait until it downloads.

Kelly Chien, if you're around, I think you know more about this than anyone . . .
