How did you get the number in the first place?

If you purchased the program as a download from Sony, they e-mailed this number to you. If you bought the boxed set, it's on the inside of the box.

Otherwise, you can just go to the My Account link at the top of this screen and select My Software.

If you've registered the software, its serial number will be listed there.

If it is not in your account , then you have not registered it. You will have to take it up with SCS customer support. They will probably want to know purchase details. Good luck.

If you have a backup of your system before you did a re-install, go back to that version. With a utility such as Belarc Advisor you should be able to find the licence code of all installed software.

If you don't have a backup copy then you really like taking risks. Slap yourself on the wrist twice: once for not keeping safe copies of your licence code and again for no system backup.

Is this the same issue you raised before?

If not, how did you get on then?

If you are considering buying a new DVDA licence, bear in mind that old versions of Vegas may need the matching version of DVDA in order to export AC3 Pro audio. That is my experience, anyhow. For example, Vegas 8 Pro needs DVDA 4.5 or 5.0 (but not 5.2).
