How can I burn HDV DVD?

The steps that I followed :
- I selected some of my pics, cropped them as 1440 x 1080
- From CineForm I downloaded ConnectHD 3.0
- with Vegas 5, I rendered my pics as HDV 1080-50i
- I obtained a file with the extension .m2t
- DVD architect didn't see it.
- Nero 7 recognized it and added to filed to be burned.
But it says "target video options : 720 x 576 (CCIR-601 - D1) 16:9
- My DVD burner is Philips SPD 3000CC.

My questions are
- How can I write HVD to DVD without any loss?
(As 1440 X 1080 or 1920 x 1080)
- Do I have to buy another DVD writer or the process is more complex than this?

As far as i know, the only options for HD on a DVD are to create an HD WMV file. You must then also have a player capable of playing WMV files.

The quick answer is what Kelly said - WMV is supported on some DVD players for High Def content and WMV playback isn't widely supported. However, I know of no authoring utilities - you can build menus and such, but they must be built "by hand" in the sripting language used.

If you want to do Blu Ray or HD-DVD you can purchase the latest version of Sonic Scenarist. Not sure what the price is, but it's going to be in the $25,000 range (or better).

This lack of delivery format has been one of the major reasons I've not worried about going to HD right yet - even if someone wanted it, they have no way to play it back. (at least in general).
