Alt+Print Scrn

The "Print Scrn" key is usually to the right of F12. You will have to paste (Ctrl+V) this into Microsoft Paint or another image editor to save it.

Additionally, if you just press "Print Scrn", it will capture the entire screen. Using Alt+Print Scrn captures only the active window.

You can also try/purchase a cool utility called Snagit from techsmith.com (same makers of camstudio) which allows quick, easy and variable screen captures...

Corel Draw has a little known utility bundled with it called Corel Capture. You can set several different ways to capture. I use it all the time, because it lets me do a marquee select to capture just the area that I want.

On my Dell Inspiron I need to ensure "Num Lock" is on. Just a thought. When I first did the Print Screen thing - nothing happened - except my language got even worse!

Paint Shop Pro has excellent screen cap capability and I think you can get a shareware version.
