Many ways to do it. For a beginner I would begin here:

Go to Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts newsletters and read the three issues that deal with PIPs. They are VERY easy to create using Track Motion.

It sure can in several ways. Two quick ways are:

1. You can use Track Motion and scale the Picture in Picture (PIP) window down and float it anywhere in the screen.

2. You can also use Pan/Crop settings to reduce a single event on a track to a PIP.

Use the first method if you want the whole track to be a PIP and the second if you just want one event on a track to be a PIP.

I've been on this forum now for about a month (or so) and this question pops up more times than not. Hmmmmm - I wonder???

Anyway .... all the advice so far is very sound. You can find a great deal of info here - but may I also suggest downloading the VV manual and giving that run through. It covers PIP in detail (along with a lot of other stuff you would find useful).

The advice to download the manual is good - the tutorial (included in the manual) gives step-by-step instructions for PinP.

This part of the tutorial was one of the major reasons why I ended up buying Vegas. After that I discovered lots of extra 'good reasons' for buying it!!!

Sorry, sorry, sorry - was a sloooow network day here - I got impatient, clicked 'stop' on my browser and then reposted. Somehow 'stop' didn't 'stop'

I'll delete extra posts - of course if it's a slow day again I may end up deleting all of them!!!!

Again, my apologies :os
