How can I open a 6 channel PCM .wav file in 4.0c?

I have a 6 channel .wav file that when I open in 4.0c it is in a single bus stereo. What gives? Shouldn't it be in 6 seperate buses?

I don't think Vegas "understands" >2 channel wave files.
