Right-mouse-button click on the picture in the timeline, click Properties, choose the Media tab. The size is listed under Attributes:

Click on the picture in Media Pool. The size is listed underneath the Media Pool window.

Click on the filename in the Explorer window. The size is listed underneath the Explorer window.

May i ask how you capture your pictures into Vegas for your slide show? I tried the scanner but it freezes up the computer so I always have to capture with video cam. first. Thanks

I scan pictures into PhotoShop and then just drag the files into Vegas.

A good way to make sure you're not zooming in too far is to watch the "Size" property in the pan/crop dialog -- for NTSC, when height drops below 480 you're stretching pixels instead of shrinking them, and when it hits 240 you're doubling them; you really shouldn't go that far or things get blurry.
